Tatjana Pladere is the Head of the Department of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Latvia. The department focuses on bridging fundamental science with applied research to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, user-centred solutions that promote visual health, inform the development of innovative technologies, and improve quality of life. In close collaboration with industry partners and other stakeholders, her research group translates expertise in vision science and clinical optometry into next-generation vision technologies that are more inclusive and better tailored to individual user needs.
